Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) are committed to providing environments and procedures to keep people safe when they are in hospital.
During your stay on our ward your consultant and care team may discuss time off the ward with you. When they feel it is safe for you to leave the ward, and with your agreement, a plan will be put in place so that you can spend time within the hospital grounds. This means that you must stay within the boundary of the hospital site.
You may be escorted by a member of ward staff, accompanied by a family member or a friend, or you may be able to go out on your own. Your care team will discuss and agree this with you.
Before you leave the ward, staff will explain to you where you are able to go and what time you will be expected back on the ward.
